Chloe’s Closet: Day 71

These first two pictures were taken while I was on the phone with BF2 and Raspbana!

The shirt I got from Kohl’s on clearance about a year or two ago…it was like $4…the shorts I got at Savers for $4.99…..I love thrift stores! The shoes are one of the two pairs of shoes I’ve ever paid full price for! They are Vans…and THEY HAVE FLAMINGOS ON THEM!!! The necklace was fifty cents at a garage sale!

The shoes are so awesome….except for the toe holes….oopsy.

And dude, don’t you just LOVE my sunglasses ring!? I got in on clearance at Claire’s!

Chloe’s Closet: Day 63

Today’s outfit was quite boring…but Jenna made the pictures kinda exciting.

She said to sit backwards on the chair, so I did…

but apparently she said that’s not what she meant…apparently she meant for me to sit like this….

…which is much better! Much cuter….thanks, Jenna!

Well my shirt was $3, I got it from Old Navy, the Converse are from my mommy, the bracelets I made….all of them, I think. The jeans are from Kohl’s…they were free….I had a gift card =)

Chloe’s Closet: Day 56

Today was turquoise/purple day!

Jenna and I made chocolate covered strawberries! Well, Jenna was the mommy that made them, and I was the kid with a short attention span that helped out. But I did get to partake of the delicious goodness! And boy, they sure were delicious! I put sprinkles on some of them, like a true kid would.

Can you tell that they were delicious?

Hmm…well if that last picture of me taking a bite did not convince you of the deliciousness, how about this picture Jenna got of me being blissfully happy?

Okay so then…Jenna took this whole outfit picture of me…I’ve got what’s left of my strawberry and I’ve also got Jordan’s paddle…

My dress is the Faded Glory brand, and I love it! It’s from Wal-Mart…it’s really old… The undershirt is a Half Tee…the scarf is one of the free ones I got from Kohl’s! Don’t remember what I’m talking about? Go here: https://byuflamingo.wordpress.com/2011/03/25/chloes-closet-day-4/

And then I was sitting on the couch. And Jordan was on the other couch. And we were both listening to Kenzie. And I took pictures of my awesome shoes.

The clear Converse if one of the 2 pairs of shoes I’ve ever paid full price for. Limited edition, gotta love ’em! Oh, and don’t mind the almost-hole in the heel of the purple sock…due to the fact that my shoe is clear, you can see my almost-holey sock. Anyways, the other shoe is one of the CHEAPEST pairs of Converse I’ve ever bought! And one of my favorites! $2.50 ($5 for the pair) at Famous Footwear! Gotta love clearance and BOGO!

And then I was about to get ready for bed when I realized I wanted to show you all my cool hair. I think this is my new favorite way of doing my hair….messy bun with random clips and curls!

Chloe’s Closet: Day 55

Today was white and black day!

Here’s about my outfit…the shirt is from Kohl’s…I got it when I was with Sheila…it was a few years ago…I tried it on for a joke because it looked RIDICULOUS on the hanger…but when I tried it on, I loved it! So I bought it! As for the skirt, it’s from a thrift store. I’ve had it for quite some time. The hair….like the flowers? I re-used them!

Chloe’s Closet: Day 52

I did laundry today!  I just washed undershirts, jeans, and underwear…oh, and socks. But I’m now out of quarters. So basically, send me money….

No, but really, here’s my outfit for today…

My roommate Jordan took that pic…she also took this one…

I think my legs look WAY thin in that picture….totally disproportionate to the rest of my body…kinda weird.
The skirt…I made it! The shirt? It was free…I got it from Banana Republic with a gift card!

Jordan also took this picture…

dude check out my totally awesome SHOE!!!!!!!! The blue one is from my mom…but I’m wanting to tell you about the OTHER one! It’s one of the 2 pairs of shoes I’ve EVER paid full price for. It’s a clear limited-edition Converse. They no longer sell them…I love them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They’re the best!!!!!!!
Oh, and the socks are from the Target dollar spot!

Jordan also took these pictures of my hair…the earring in this picture only like 10 cents…from a thrift store…because there was no match…but of course I didn’t care.

And let me tell you about the flowers in my hair…the gold one is a clip I had in all day. BUT THE WHITE DAISIES….well…*ahem* you see, I was at the library practicing ASL and I went to fill up my water bottle, which I do like 15 times a day. And there was a trash can next to the water fountain. And in that trash can there was a bouquet of flowers. White daisies to be exact. They weren’t submerged in trash, they were just on the top. So I picked them up and they looked good still! So, uh, NATURALLY I broke 2 off, went to the bathroom, and put them in my hair. So, basically, the white flowers were free!

Mom, all those years of dumpster diving taught me SOMETHING, see?

And this is the other side…the earring was free….I got them for my birthday a long time ago from my friend Sana Siddiqui! OH, and….don’t mind the sunburn on the back of my neck…

Well  here’s about some more of my outfit. All the bracelets I’m wearing were free! The turquoise ones, someone gave to me. The gold ones I got from Kohl’s with a gift card.

I was standing around talking to Jenna and playing with my camera. I got it to make my nose to this, and then I decided it looked funny. I told Jenna it’d  make a great pic, but then I realized that my camera was the thing that was holding my face together like that in the first place…but then I had a brilliant idea! Jenna took the picture into the mirror while I was holding it!

And that’s my outfit.

BUT today I went and saw Seussical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS SO SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna see it again and again and again and again!

Chloe’s Closet: Day 48

A lot to say today!

We’ll start with my outfit….Sheridan took my pictures!

How do ya like my sunburn?

Sheridan said we were going to do “Senior Picture” style pictures…it was great.

The tights are from Kohl’s and the undershirt is from Shade…that’s all I know…

Okay so that’s my outfit…now let’s start from the beginning…a very good place to start…

Jenna and I left her house around 6:30, and got back to Provo around 8:30 for Jenna’s meeting. I had a meeting at 10:30, and then I had church from 11:40-1:40. And then I had to do some stuff for my calling…which I love!!

When I got home, I called my dear mother. It is Mother’s Day. I love my mother.

When I was born, she gave up almost everything she had just to keep me alive. It was only me and her. And I love her for it. She is a true example to me of faith and righteous sacrifice.

My mother has had a super hard life. I don’t know what I would be like if I was her. She has had so many rough times, and those rough times have not stopped. I hope they will some day, but I don’t see when. Regardless, my mom is such a protector. She loves all 7 of her kids with all she has, and would rather be with us more than anything else. She is so great.

My mom taught me the importance of service. I don’t remember much from before I was 16, with the exception of things my mom scrapbooked pictures of. I love to look at the scrapbooks my mom made of my life. They remind me of the things that I did because I cannot seem to remember them on my own. I am so grateful that she is so creative as well. She is a quilter (even though she is out of practice as of late), and she used to always make us quilts. The blanket I sleep with every night is one my mom made. I call it my cat blanket, because simply, it has cats on it. Oh, and it’s super colorful!

My mother has always stressed the importance of getting a college education. She did not take the opportunity to get an education, and she now regrets that. She is in a situation where she is stuck, and having a college education would definitely help her out of it. My superb mother has always made sure I wanted and succeeded in getting a college education. It’s ingrained in my mind now! I love it! Just about every time I talk to her, she reminds me of how much she wants me to have an education. I know it’s important to her, and it’s important to me, so I’m working hard!

My mom is the funniest! She is always finding ways to make me laugh. My siblings do the funniest things and my mom sure makes them even funnier. She is such a kid! She’s often helping us think of fun pranks or things to do. All my friends love my mom – she’s like one of us! Haha she’s so great. I always tell my roommates what we call “mom stories”, which is just when I tell them a story about my mom….whether it’s a memory I have, or something she told me recently. It’s always a good laugh! My ward even hears a lot about my mom – I often talk about her! I just can’t help myself!

My mom is so cool…she tries to teach me the art of folding a dollar bill into a bowtie. She always does it when she leaves tips.

My mom is so cool…she’ll push your face into a cake….when you least expect it…

My mom is cool….when she pushes your face into a cake, you just might end up with cake on your face…okay you definitely will…

My mom is so cool….she takes her oldest child and her two youngest children out at midnight to flock someone’s house. That means you put plastic flamingos all over their yard!

My mom is so cool…when she wants the middle piece of a cake, she takes the middle piece of a cake. (can you see the top indent where she smashed Sevannah’s nose into it? bwa haha!)

My mom is so cool…she is such a great example of faith. She turned this picture into something more meaningful by just using a Sharpie.

My mom is so cool…she has a Santa suit.

My mom is so cool…on Christmas 2008, it was just me and her. She dressed up as Santa and came into the room….it was hilarious.

My mom is so cool…she does a Junas Santa!

My mom is so cool…she dresses the cat up in her Santa outfit.

My mom is so cool…we match on accident.

My mom is so cool…I can get her to wear mismatched Converse and do Junas…

My mom is so cool….she taught me how to dress in public.

My mom is so cool…our noses are the same!

My mom is so cool…she has crazy children….and we like it.

My mom is so cool…we had a fire extinguisher for all the candles on her cake when she turned 41…just in case.

My mom is so cool…she uses packaging tape to fix holes in her water-bed.
My mom is so cool…when they boys’ shirts get a hole in them….she sticks her finger in it and rips it so it’s a big hole…that way they won’t wear it anymore.

My mom is so cool…she always loves to have a picture of Jesus Christ in sight…so they’re all over the house.

My mom is so cool…she has THE BEST fridge magnets!

My mom is so cool…she cuts onions wearing swimming goggles and gloves…so she doesn’t cry….and the kids do it, too.

My mom is so cool…for so many reasons.

I love my mother. And she loves me. And we both love our Heavenly Father. He helps us though so much.

My goal from last week was “find time to be still” and I think I did an okay job with it. I am going to do it for one more week, though. I know I can do better.

Chloe’s Closet: Day 44

Today was pretty much a random colored day….
I went to DI with Jenna and Sheridan…I got lots of loot for only $5!!!
When we got home, Sheridan took my pictures. We took most of them with the new pilates thing I got! Sheridan showed me how to pose…

so then I did it…

Gettin’ my loot from DI out of the bag….

All of this only cost me $5!

Now I wanna show you my socks!

Like ’em? Th piano sock is from Honk’s! It was only 88 cents for the pair! So…44 cents for that sock! The flamingo sock is from Lorena! She’s so great!

Sheridan is the best at taking my outfit pictures!
The shirt I got from Target for $7 I think a long time ago. The jeans are from Kohl’s. They were free, I got them with a gift card! The bracelets are from all different places…the fat beaded one, I got from Mexico when we went on a cruise. The socks are from my mommy, most likely.  And do you like my necklace?! I got it from Sheila for Easter!!!! And that Tinkerbell hat…I got it on sale at the Disney store for a couple of bucks a long time ago.

Chloe’s Closet: Day 40

Today we went to Litha’s wedding! It was beautiful!! I’m so happy for her!
They got married at the Manti temple in Utah!

IT WAS SSOOOOO WINDY!!

It was so cold! Litha found a jacket, though, haha

Right when we were done taking pictures, it started to SNOW!! It was so cold!

But regardless, they are so cute together =)

When we got home, Jenna and I went to the library after a nap.
We took my outfit pictures on the way out, because of a cool random red tile in the ceiling!

We honestly couldn’t figure out why it was there…

And this was just for fun of course…

And when I got home, I took this picture…and my eye makes this look weird…but oh well.

Well  here’s about my outfit! The necklace was like 50 cents at a thrift store! The tights were free, I got them from Kohl’s with a gift card! I made the skirt. The shoes are from…uh…(let me go check)…Land’s End, that’s right! I got them on sale online. The shirt I got online from Shade when they had a clearance sale. The undershirt that you can’t really see is a light pink tank top, and it’s from Shade as well…

Chloe’s Closet: Day 39

Tonight, Jenna and I went down to the basement of the McKay building to make copies for stuff…and on the way out…I noticed a sign on some cabinets.
So we violated the sign’s instructions.
We felt so bad….it was great.
And as we were walking away, Jenna said “Can I take your outfit pictures?”
And I said “Yeah, let me undress first.”
And we both paused.
And then we both laughed hysterically.

What I MEANT to say was that since I was wearing my coat and scarf, we should get a series of pictures in which I take them off to reveal my outfit!

And here’s where I’ll tell you about my outfit. The shirt is from Old Navy, it was only $3! The jeans are from Kohl’s. The scarf is from…..I don’t remember. The jacket is from Old Navy! I got it for Christmas 2 years ago from the Schillers! The hat I got on clearance at Claire’s last year. The shoes, I’m pretty sure my mom got them for me. The necklace, I got in Mexico when we went on a cruise. The bracelets, some I made, some I’ve just had forever, as usual, I’m not quite sure.

That’s the sign we saw and we violated the instructions of. While we were blocking the cabinets (before the idea of outfit pictures with it ever popped into our minds) we had fun. You see what happened was, we were getting ready to leave the building. But then I noticed the sign and said “let’s block the cabinets!” So we smooshed ourselves against the cabinets like Kronk does in The Emperor’s New Groove. And I turned to Jenna and said “do you feel baaaaaddd??!!” And she said “not quite yet…” and I said “okay…………………………………….how about now?” And she said “yeah, I feel baaaaaaaaaaddd!!”
Moral of the story: we’re so bad.

Chloe’s Closet: Day 35

I did laundry today. I washed towels, sheets, underwear, socks, undershirts, and leggings. So no worries, Chloe’s Closet is still going strong.
Today I wore Raspbana colors!

We went to the Thorn’s for FHE tonight….they have a cool bathroom. The only other time I’ve seen a toilet like this is when I was in Disney World last year!

Earlier today, I was working, and I wanted a popsicle. So I went to the fridge to get Otter Pops. I usually eat them in 2’s. So I grabbed two. AND THEY WERE RASPBANA COLORS! They matched my outfit! It was meant to be!

And these are my shoes.

And this is my squished face =)
Here’s about the outfit….The jeans are from Kohl’s…free! I had a gift card! The yellow shirt is from Old Navy….free! I had a gift card! The undershirt is from Shade. The necklace was free! The shoes…from my mommy.
